Hiking with Ellie – Houston Arboretum Outer Loop Trail

I’m so grateful to live in a city that has some great outdoor places to retreat to when nature is needed. Ellie and I both enjoyed our trip to the Houston Arboretum to hike the Outer Loop Trail. We also ended up doing the Donor’s Boardwalk and the Couch Birding Trail. They have lots of other trails to explore too, so we will have to return soon!

The Houston Arboretum is a great place for dogs, kids, and beginners. You can walk as little or as much as you’d like with different paths available. I loved how well-marked the trails were, and the online map is helpful too. Just make sure you are prepared to download the ParkHouston app to pay for your parking (very minimal, $1 an hour).
